Tax Season Assistant - Processing Bureau - Business Tax Processing (Temporary)

Hourly Salary: $16.84

Location: Truman Building - 301 West High Street, Jefferson City, MO

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

Our team focuses on processing business tax returns and documents in a timely manner. We are team oriented, goal driven, and value strong communication and typing skills, as well as problem solving experience. You will work in a friendly environment with a full-time weekdays only work schedule with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee.

DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:

• Review business tax returns and payments to ensure necessary information is included
• Complete data entry tasks to input tax return figures and taxpayer information
• Research and error correct business tax returns to ensure timely processing
• Correspond with both internal and external customers about tax processing
• Assist taxpayers with filing issues and promote electronic filing options, via phone and email correspondence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• Proficient typing and computer skills
