General

The ADA Administrator actively serves as the ADA Coordinator for the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans), Peninsula Joint Powers Board (Caltrain), and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA). This role supports public accommodations as provided under the Americas with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III regulations, the agencies’ ADA Transition Plans, and appliable federal/state codes. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating staff in various administrative, construction and/or maintenance work that impact ADA compliance and public accessibility.

This guides staff at both SamTrans and Caltrain to implement their respective accessibility programs in a systemic manner through all phases of planning and construction. This position provides a depth of managerial, budgetary, and administrative skills to agency staff in completing and fulfilling the diverse requirements of compliance programs.
