We are offering exciting Summer Legal Internship opportunities!

The Mohave County Attorney’s Office hires law students, college students interested in attending law school, and college graduates preparing for or awaiting LSAT results or law school admission. On occasion the MCAO, also hires exceptional local high school students interested in the law.

Our summer legal internship program is an excellent opportunity for students to experience the culture of a prosecutor’s office and legal career. Interns work with multiple attorneys with meaningful assignments and tasks that have a real impact on actual cases. Interns will be able to attend and observe jury trials, bench trials and other court proceedings. Interns will gain valuable experience that will complement their legal studies in college and/or law school.

Many of our successful interns return for subsequent internships while they pursue their law degree and ultimately are hired as full-time prosecutors/attorneys.

We are located at 315 N. 4th Street by the Mohave County Superior Court House.

Mohave County Attorney’s Office is looking to generally hire between 4-8 Summer Legal Interns.

Our Mission

To conduct the prosecution of all felony offenses within the County and the prosecution of misdemeanors in the unincorporated areas. Advise law enforcement agencies and the grand jury. Assist crime victims and witnesses. Represent County government and its agencies, school districts, fire departments, and other public agencies.

The Summer Intern is a temporary position of less than 12 months with most internships lasting 3-5 months.
The internship will not include benefits and interns can expect a starting salary of $16.00 per hour.
Work is subject to traveling to varying posts or job site assignments, call-backs or on-call status, and irregular schedules to include completion of work assignments on weekends and holidays.
