Grants Administrator (Temporary, Part-Time, Non-Benefitted) Hourly Rate: $41.9790 - $53.5771 (DOQ)

Grants Administrator performs administrative and analytical duties in the Parks & Public Works Department. The Grant Administrator's key responsibility includes overseeing, coordinating, and managing state and federal transportation, emergency management and other future grants. Currently, Parks & Public Works Department oversees approximately 25 active State, Federal, and Local grants related to the Town's infrastructure projects.
Grant writing and administration experience is highly desirable. This is a part-time (less than 20-hour/week), non-benefitted position to conduct research to administer, coordinate and monitor federal, state, and local grants in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and guidelines.
Duties include compiling necessary data for grants, collaborating with Sr. Administrative Analyst, departmental program managers, and Finance Department on grant income and grant expenses amounts, and managing system for tracking grant expenditures and receivables. - Technical Skills - Has working knowledge of clerical procedures, use of computer systems, and software programs, such as; Microsoft Office Suite.
- Driven and Energetic - A self-starter who is committed to accomplishing goals and tasks on-time.
Minimum QualificationsAny combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities s qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Project management, government background and a Master’s degree in public administration is preferred, but not required.
- Two (2) years of analytical and professional experience involving analysis, report preparation, and administrative or operational support.
