Title: Summer Internship - Research and Data - Office of Community Corrections (OCC)

Pay Grade: Summer Intern

Starting Pay:$20/ hour (Undergraduate student); $24/ hour (Graduate student)

Departmental Mission Statement:

The Massachusetts Probation Service’s mission is to increase community safety, reduce recidivism, contribute to the fair and equitable administration of justice, support victims and survivors, and assist individuals and families in achieving long-term positive change.

The Office of Community Corrections (OCC) is the Massachusetts Probation Service’s intermediate sanction department. The OCC’s mission is to establish intermediate sanctions which offer a continuum of sanctions and services for probation, parole, sheriffs, and the Department of Correction.

Position Summary:

The intern, under the supervision and guidance of the OCC, will work on a variety of assignments that will involve the administration of data from the Community Justice Support Centers and Community Service Program. The internshould be able toprovide a broad range of skilled administrative and technical support. Intern’s daily duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
