Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Clinical Laboratory Scientists I and II who perform a wide variety of analytic laboratory procedures and apply laboratory policies and processes in the areas of Chemistry, Serology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank and Microbiology. Clinical Laboratory Scientists I are considered Trainees and are eligible for promotion to Clinical Laboratory Scientist II upon receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.

Annual Salary: $88,608.00 - $113,256.00

Clinical Laboratory Scientists II are considered the Journey-level classification to the CLS series and require the ability to recognize a range of reactions including deviation from the norm.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four-hour facility; some shifts include weekends and holidays. Applicants must indicate availability for day, swing, night, rotating, weekends, and holidays. Shift differentials are provided.

Pre-Employment Process : Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.

Work Environment: Incumbents are routinely exposed to dangerous chemicals and infectious materials.

Probationary Period: Clinical Laboratory Scientists I are eligible for promotion to Clinical Laboratory Scientist II upon meeting the minimum qualifications and receipt of a satisfactory work performance evaluation. Incumbents must promote within twelve (12) months or be terminated.

CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST II

Candidates must possess the following License and Experience:

LICENSE: Must possess and maintain a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health.

NOTE: A limited license is not considered qualifying; license must have the "MTA" prefix.

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Desired Qualifications

Applicants with training from a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) approved institution are desired.
