Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Human Services Manager job is available with the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department. The Neighborhood Services Department strengthens families and neighborhoods through social services, community development and affordable housing programs. Neighborhood Services consolidates services and programs that focus on building better neighborhoods and improving quality of life for residents. The Department encompasses housing affordability, housing rehabilitation, administration of state and federally funded programs, and community economic development programs.

The Human Services Manager will oversee the implementation of the CAP program, including but not limited to the CSBG (Community Services Block Grant), CEAP (Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program), Veterans funding, CAP (Community Action Partners) Advisory Council, case management and emergency services for community members. This position will implement state and federal programs and grants and coordinate these programs through budgeting, purchasing, contracting, and providing reports and data. The primary duty will be to ensure the grant obligations are met and the community needs are addressed.

Physical Demand

Light Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
