The Role...

The Harbor Department is seeking to fill a Senior Secretary position in the Environmental Planning Division. Under general supervision, theSenior Secretary provides a wide variety of secretarial, administrative, and general office work for the Director and the Division. The Senior Secretary serves as a central point of liaison with other Port divisions, Commissions, and Executive Offices. This role is responsible for highly sensitive and confidential information.

The Team...
The Environmental Planning Division is responsible for creating and managing programs related to environmental compliance and enhancement. Guided by our award-winning Green Port Policy, it is dedicated to reducing harmful air emissions from port-related operations, improving water quality in the harbor, protecting marine wildlife and implementing environmentally sustainable practices throughout the Port. It is divided into five sections: Air Quality, Water Quality, Remediation, Sustainability, and CEQA/NEPA.
