OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and experienced candidate for the position of Senior Administrative Specialist!
This position will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Environmental Health programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of administrative procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The typical schedule for this full-time position is 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

- Ordering and maintaining inventory of office and departmental supplies and equipment; tracking expenditures and ensuring office equipment operates properly through County or contracted maintenance services.
- Supervising administrative staff, temporary employees, or volunteers, either directly or indirectly.
- Performing customer service duties, including providing general information, responding to inquiries, interpreting County and departmental policies, and conducting necessary research or routing inquiries for more complex issues.
- Managing appointments, activity calendars, and work schedules for administrative office staff and work groups.
- Accepting and processing a variety of materials such as samples, plans, forms, reports, legal documents, applications, permits, and payments in compliance with procedural requirements and using appropriate computer systems or databases.
- Entering and maintaining data in computer systems or databases, proofreading data entry for accuracy, correcting errors, and generating standard reports as needed.
- Maintaining department records and files, ensuring accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.

QualificationsAll candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
- Four (4) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
