Description
Job Location: Jefferson City, Missouri with some remote work opportunities.
This position is a senior level specialized position performing administrative and technical functions for the State Tax Commission. Primary duties include human resources/payroll related functions such as processing all SAM II transactions and deductions; assisting the Administrative Secretary with policy development and implementation; new hire orientation; maintenance of all personnel records; and updating all necessary spreadsheets and other payroll related documentation. This position will manage the agency’s purchasing card program and audit and code monthly statements. As the fleet manager for the agency, this position ensures employees are following fleet policies and reconciles the fleet data monthly. This position trains all employees on new system implementations, inclusive of the development of training materials. Assist employees with technology issues and/or coordinate with the Office of Administration’s Information Technology Services Division.
Candidates for this position must possess considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; ability to apply and interpret agency, state, and federal laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and rules; prepare and maintain requested information; audit and review data and other information for accuracy. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively; manage a multitude of deadlines; be highly organized; manage multiple projects simultaneously; maintain strict confidentiality; be able to multitask; high attention to detail; and be flexible. Candidates must be proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
Minimum Qualifications: - Four to six years of relevant clerical support experience.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications: - Some knowledge of troubleshooting technology related issues.
