Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of local employee safety initiatives. Supports data analysis, gap assessments, and presentation related to employee safety standards, processes and projects at the business unit. Implements safety initiatives and acts as a consultant to include matters of safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials, regulatory compliance and preparing for and responding to events.Principle ResponsibilitiesMaintains regulatory compliance.Supports employee safety program by analyzing and developing safe work practices and programs designed to anticipate, identify mitigate or eliminate hazards.Applies basic analytical skills to evaluate employee safety data and tactics.Establishes, implements & maintains site employee safety program.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Biology, Industrial Hygiene, Medical Technology or related field2 to 5 years experience in healthcare industry in an employee safety, emergency management, industrial hygiene, public health or other related department if Bachelor's Degree preparedPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Biology, Industrial Hygiene, Medical Technology or related field0 to 2 years experience in healthcare industry in an employee safety, emergency management, industrial hygiene, public health or other related department if Master's Degree preparedPhysical Demands:Light Work:Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequentlyPay Range:$38.52 to $52.80 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
