Government Programs Manager

Summary

SAAB is seeking a Government Programs Manager to lead complex U.S. government and defense programs within our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will manage program scope, schedule, and budget, ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, and serve as primary interface to government customers and prime contractors. You will coordinate cross-functional engineering, production, and supply chain teams, drive risk and issue resolution, support proposals and bids, and identify growth opportunities. Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of U.
• S. government programs across scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets
• Serve as primary point of contact for government customers, primes, and key stakeholders
• Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, contract terms, and internal governance
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance to meet deliverables
• Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, driving timely resolution
• Support proposal development, pricing, and negotiations for new and follow-on contracts
• Prepare and deliver program reviews, reports, and status updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement in program execution, processes, and customer satisfaction
• Align program objectives with Saab's strategic, mission-driven goals in defense and security
