DescriptionThe City of Laguna Beach is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Administrative Analyst to provide high-level support to the various maintenance divisions within the Public Works & Utilities Department. This position plays an important role in providing administrative and analytical support, coordinating department initiatives, and helping to improve organizational processes.
What You'll Do
- Develops RFPs and bid documents for new contract solicitations
- Provides high-level support in the management of contracts and procurement processes
- Coordinates special projects and department events
- Assists in preparation of the department budget
- Prepares and administers State and Federal grants, and participates in audits
- Prepares graphs, charts, PowerPoint presentations, and agenda reports on programs and policies
- Oversees departments’ records management processes

Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to effectively and successfully perform the duties of the position is considered qualifying. A typical combination is as follows:
Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, or a field related to Public Works.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in a responsible journey-level technical or administrative capacity, which include responsibility for compiling and analyzing data, preparing reports, and making recommendations related to business processes and functions. Prior government experience is highly desirable.
