Airports Public Safety OfficerThis is your opportunity to become a member of an extraordinary organization and a dynamic team at either Fresno Yosemite International or Chandler Executive Airports.Under general supervision, you will perform the full range of public safety functions as a State Peace Officer, a designation defined in California Penal Code Section 830.33.Duties include airport law enforcement, emergency medical response, and upholding TSA security measures. Key responsibilities involve patrolling airport property to prevent crime and detect hazards, responding to calls for service, investigating crime scenes, and apprehending violators.Furthermore, this incumbent will issue citations, make arrests, collaborate with federal partners like the FAA, TSA, and CBP, and assist other law enforcement agencies. The role also requires the preparation of detailed reports for various incidents and active participation in rigorous training programs covering law enforcement, security, incident command, and firearms proficiency.Vacancies currently exist in the City of Fresno Airports Department. Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the City's discretion. If the examination process is suspended for this recruitment, the eligible list may be limited to three (3) months.
