Responsible for monitoring work areas to prevent fire hazards, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and responding quickly to any fire-related incidents. May assist other craft workers. Other duties may be assigned.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Patrol constantly to watch areas of workHave an understanding of safety procedures and how to implement themMaintain safety features, such as fire extinguishers and alarms, as stated in the safety permitSurvey the workspace for any potential risks or leaks before, during and after the workdayPrepare to operate fire extinguishers, water hydrants and hosesRemain vigilant on-site whenever employees are doing workKeep a record of any risks and solutionsContact and inform emergency personnel as soon as any issues ariseReport and map any signs of smokeClean and repair fire towers when necessaryMake sure that all lookout equipment is operationalClean up any litter and other waste when spotted on the groundsInvestigate small smoke trailsInform visitors of all fire safety policiesOther duties as assigned.Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
