Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an experienced FICC Clearing Associate to join our Securities Financing & Clearing team in New York City. This role will support the clearance and settlement of fixed income products, with a primary focus on U.S. Treasuries cleared via the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC). In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate trade processing, resolve exceptions, and help enhance our clearing infrastructure as our business expands. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in fixed income, trading systems, and technology, and will be an enthusiastic contributor eager to learn and make an immediate, tangible impact on our fixed income business.Responsibilities Manage end-to-end trade clearance and settlement of U.S. Treasury transactions cleared through the FICCMonitor trade flows and ensure accurate trade capture, reporting, allocation, and matchingIdentify, investigate, and resolve breaks, fails, and settlement discrepancies in a timely mannerLiaise with counterparties, custodians, and the FICC to ensure smooth trade settlementPartner with internal teams (e.g., trading desk, middle office/operations, compliance, and risk) to optimize clearing workflowsSupport regulatory and industry reporting requirements related to fixed income clearance and settlementManage intraday and end of day funding of custodial account and oversee intraday credit usageContribute to the development of policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen operational risk managementProvide subject matter expertise on FICC rules, margining, and settlement processesQualifications 3+ years of relevant experience in fixed income operations, preferably in U.S. Treasuries clearance and settlementStrong understanding of U.S. Treasury market, FICC processes, margin, and settlement cyclesExperience working with clearing systems, trade matching platforms, and custodiansProven ability to manage trade exceptions and settlement breaksStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsMeticulously detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentEquity and/or F&O clearing experience is a plusFamiliarity with regulatory requirements impacting fixed income clearing (e.g., SEC, FINRA, DTCC rules) is a plusCompensation & Benefits The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, based on job-related skills and experience.Eligible for discretionary performance-based bonusesCompetitive benefits packageCulture Hudson River Trading (HRT) brings a scientific approach to trading financial products.
