The City of Fairfield is seeking an experienced, hands-on communications strategist who leads with humility, drive and a passion for public service. The next Communications Manager will serve as a trustworthy, adaptable leader ready to direct the next evolution of the City’s messaging, mentor a growing team and build meaningful trust with the community. 

This executive role offers an opportunity to serve as a key advisor in the City Manager’s Office, guiding strategic communications, crisis response and public engagement for a dynamic, full-service city. Operating as the Public Information Officer, the Communications Manager will lead digital strategy, oversee media relations and translate complex municipal policies into clear, transparent community outreach.
