Job SummaryOur Recreation and Parks Department is hiring for Part-time (year-round) Parks Equipment Operators! This position will perform numerous maintenance and construction tasks related to ball field maintenance and turf management. Operates equipment and performs duties related to turf grass management, preparing athletic fields for practices and games, mowing turf, and general landscaping improvement. This position will assist with athletic events at NRC by preparing the fields for play, providing facility supervision, custodial support, and other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Age: 18 years old, at the time of application
Seasonal Position: Year-round
Work Hours: North Recreation Complex support will typically be 7:00am - 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with weekend shifts to support tournaments
Requirements include:
- At least 6 months of experience operating lawnmowers and/or tractor mowers;
- Valid driver's license issued by N.C. or another state.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform work requiring good physical and mental condition.
