Due to critical shortage in recruitment, an additional 10% of Critical Shortage bonus shall apply to monthly salary of those employees who are appointed full time to non-surgical podiatry assignments. A 20% of Critical Shortage bonus shall apply to the monthly salary of those employees who are appointed full time to surgical podiatry assignments. Critical Shortage bonuses are subject to ongoing review and may be modified or discontinued at any time based on departmental need and funding availability .

LICENSE REQUIREMENT :

Still working on obtaining a California State license to practice the full scope of podiatric medicine issued by the California State Board of Podiatric Medicine of the California Medical Board? No worries! You can still apply and may even receive a contingent job offer while completing the process. Throughout the process, we’ll confirm that you either have your license or are actively pursuing it. If you are unable to meet this additional requirement while on the hiring list (6 months), your application will expire. If the job posting is still available, you are welcome to reapply.

PHYSICAL CLASS III - Moderate: Includes standing or walking most of the time, with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching; includes working on irregular surfaces, occasionally lifting objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.

OUR ASSESSMENT PROCESS : This is a non-competitive examination. This examination is intended to merely qualify applicants. Applicants will be placed on an eligible register without indication of relative standing in the examination.

NO PERSON MAY COMPETE IN THIS EXAMINATION MORE THAN ONCE EVERY SIX (6) MONTHS.

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION :
Applicants who qualify for this position will be placed on the list for a period of 6 months and will need to meet the requirements within that timeframe.

Applications will be processed as they are received and added to the list accordingly for 6 months.

Applicants will be placed on a list of eligible candidates without indication of relative standing in the examination. The appointing power may appoint any one of the names on the appropriate list, except a person without Veterans credit may not be appointed if there are three or more names on the list of persons entitled to Veteran’s credit.
