Job Summary: The Texas Real Estate Commission is seeking a Systems Analyst to support our licensing system, business processes, and product operations. This role conducts systems analysis and collaborates closely with multiple agency divisions. Key responsibilities include assessing user requirements, developing technical solutions, and implementing automated processes that improve agency efficiency. Solutions are deployed through product configuration and script development. The position works with minimal supervision and requires significant initiative and independent judgment.
Job Duties: - Coordinates with process owners to identify system requirements, develop functional design specifications and solve complex operational problems.
- Oversees the training of staff prior to the implementation of technical and/or computer systems and offers advice and guidance during the implementation process.
- Assists in defining testing plans and coordinating testing activities for IT systems.
- Develops and implements timely solutions to support agency and IT initiatives.
- Coordinates and/or participates in the development and execution of enterprise level strategies and technical direction, including establishing processes and procedures for executing.
- Evaluate and compare technical solutions to propose technical recommendations and direction.
- Coordinates projects that cross functional agency systems and external entities to include, planning, and scheduling during project development and implementation stages.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
- Experience writing and managing JavaScript.
Education and experience may substitute for one another on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing professional licensing applications from vendors such as Accela.
- Certifications in programming, business analysis or similar.

- Ability to understand and write SQL in Microsoft SQL or Oracle Databases.
- Ability to use systems logs to trace and resolve errors in scripting environment.
- Ability to parse and interact with JSON payloads
Environmental & Physical Conditions: Normal office work environment, mostly sedentary in nature. Involves speaking to groups of people. May involve walking; standing; remaining stationary for long periods of time; pulling and pushing; kneeling, stooping, and bending; and safely lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds. Work involves extensive phone usage and repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions while using the computer.
