This position is a member of our Program Support and Environmental Assistance Division (PSEAD).
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Formulate, plan, and organize team activities. Coordinate with internal and external customers, and ensure program activities are implemented and completed, and work products are accurate. Support OCE reporting requirements related to special projects, legislative and media requests. Oversee the development of annual work plan and Legislative Budget Board (LBB) commitments with the Regional Offices and Area Directors. Supervise staff involvement and interaction with the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Manage and direct staff, which includes personnel management functions; conduct interviews, hire new employees, complete performance management functions, and ensure staff development.
- Direct special projects, including developing and managing the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure OCE goals, objectives, and priorities are met.
- Develop, monitor, and track the team budget in coordination with management and budget staff.
- Represent OCE in meetings and public functions to provide information and promote coordination with all internal and external customers. Provide oversight of OCE responses to public information requests (PIRs).
KEY QUALIFICATIONS - Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, supporting and responding to legislative and media requests, and experience overseeing Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and performance measure metrics.
- Experience leading and/or supervising a team or mentoring/developing staff.
- Experience attending and serving in meetings and/or public functions to provide information and promote coordination with internal and external customers/stakeholders.
- Experience evaluating new initiatives (federal or state) and proposed legislation.
- Experience contributing to the agency strategic planning process and participating in agency rulemaking.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.
OR Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

Work Schedule Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Individual and work group schedule determined by the PSEAD.
