Position Summary

Position Summary:
Implements, administers, and evaluates day-to-day activities of the clinical/non-clinical academic programs and the residency program as outlined in the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements. This includes organizing new and returning academic learner/trainee onboarding, general orientation, and scheduling; assists and recommends policy and procedures for student, residents, and fellows processing and programs; analyzes student, residents, and fellows evaluations and supports multiple functional areas in development of student, residents, and fellows programs and understands application of affiliation agreements. Specific programs may be assigned.

Job Requirement

Education/Experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care administration, accounting/finance, or a closely related field and four (4) years of programmatic experience or experience with education, admissions, or similar experience in academia understanding specific academic regulatory requirements, with significant mentorship, counseling, and supervision of residents, fellows, researchers, or similar students.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements

Knowledge of:
The dynamics and objectives of the academic programs and its relationship with the primary institution and participating institutions; maintaining effective relationships with supervisors and co-workers; general human resource functions and principles; general financial and budgetary processes and principles; principles of record keeping and confidentiality (including HIPAA compliance); student, residents, and fellows program related software and applications; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures. Skill in:
Utilizing resources effectively; prioritizing analysis and reporting work independently; adapting and adjusting to new or changing situations; organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing work for self and others to meet deadlines; maintaining confidentiality; utilizing interpersonal skills to work effectively with others; working positively to resolve issues by bringing concerns to the appropriate person(s); report writing; paying attention to details; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
