The Job San Bernardino County Real Estate Services Department is recruiting forpaid
Student and Graduate Interns! This is an exciting opportunity for motivated students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in public sector real estate while supporting one of the largest counties in the nation. Interns will gain exposure to real property acquisition and disposition, lease administration, property management, valuation analysis, and public agency processes.
This opportunity is designed to provide meaningful experience and help prepare participants for future
Real Property Agent I opportunities with the County. Intern positions are temporary assignments and do not confer status as a regular County employee; however, they offer valuable hands-on experience and exposure to support future County employment opportunities.
Student Intern : $22.88 - $29.14 per hour
Graduate Intern : $25.17 - $29.89 per hour
THE REAL ESTATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT The
Real Estate Services Department (RESD) is a full service commercial real estate organization providing San Bernardino County and Board Governed entities with comprehensive expert real estate services. With a highly qualified staff, RESD has established a strong reputation among its internal clients for providing exceptional technical expertise, negotiation skills, administrative services and client responsiveness both internally, as well as in its dealings with the private sector commercial real estate industry.
Learn more about Real Estate Services Department and their exceptional services. CONDITIONS OF THE INTERNSHIP Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Position Type: Student/Graduate Intern positions are temporary positions and do not obtain status as a regular County employees.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is unable to consider to candidates who require Visa Sponsorship at this time or in the future. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States at the time of employment.
Minimum Requirements Student Level: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
Graduate Level: Must have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university within the past two (2) years in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Must be currently enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a master’s or doctoral program.
Note: Employment as a Graduate Student Intern is limited to individuals pursuing an advanced degree in a professional field. Students may be hired between academic terms if they intend to continue their studies and can provide proof of upcoming enrollment in a college or university.

Desired Qualifications Ideal candidates will demonstrate knowledge of or interest in public sector real estate and related functions. This may include coursework or experience in real estate, finance, business administration, economics, accounting, or a closely related field.
Strong candidates will also possess:
- An interest in real property acquisition, leasing, property management, or valuation analysis
- Basic understanding of public agency processes or government operations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word)
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
