The Monterey County Health Department, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Bureau is seeking an experienced administrator that will provide leadership and oversight in planning, directing, and evaluating community EMS programs. Under general direction of the Health Director, The Emergency Medical Services Bureau Chief will: manage, formulate and oversee the bureau budget and manage bureau financial resources; identify budgetary and financial gaps and make responsible and effective recommendations to fill gaps; explore opportunities for leveraging local and other State and Federal sources to diversify revenues as appropriate; establish, review and enforce policies and procedures to ensure EMS mandates and objectives, operational requirements, and customer service goals are met in accordance with Department, County, State and Federal rules; formulate strategies and goals consistent with the County and Health Department's mission and key business objectives; and develop Emergency Medical Services strategic plan in alignment in the Department and County goals and strategies with input from EMS System stakeholders.
