This recruitment may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates to fill future Industrial Maintenance Mechanics at the West Point Treatment PlantCareer Service vacancies within the Wastewater Treatment Division over the next 6 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of journey-level mechanics at the West Point Treatment Plant, performing both planned and unscheduled maintenance while honing your mechanical skills in an industrial setting. You’ll play a critical role in keeping essential systems running smoothly, contributing directly to the health and sustainability of the Puget Sound region.

About the Role:
Working as part of a team, this person will apply their maintenance experience to perform high-level repairs on a variety of rotating mechanical equipment, including but not limited to: biosolids decanting blowers, influent and effluent pumps, biogas scrubbing compressors, gearboxes, conveyance systems, and multiple piping systems.

The ideal candidate is goal-oriented and contributes to a safe, collaborative, and positive work environment. They will support a team culture focused on effective communication, working closely with other groups, and following good shop practices to maintain a high standard of workmanship.
