Description
Grade 17 - Starting hourly rate:$23.40. Rate of pay depends on qualifications.Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Planner I works on conservation and enforcement programs, ensuring they continue to operate in a timely and efficient manner. This position works closely with Senior Conservation Planners who design and evaluate programs. The Planner I will focus on administration of Conservation’s programs related to residential outdoor water conservation. The Planner I will also help to identify other potential uses of the ConnectH2O data, and will assist a senior staff member with developing programs surrounding those uses. This position may communicate with external customers to collect project data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Researches, organizes and presents information collected from customers, agencies, internet services, advisory boards, and SAWS functions to internal customers.
- Prepares multimedia materials for public meetings and events.
- Schedules and coordinates arrangements for external and internal meetings and events.
- Contributes to discussions, analyses, and interpretation of data towards solving problems, evaluating performances, completing reports for internal and public audiences.
- May present program information to public audiences
- Provides customer service to the public regarding program issues.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and public relations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING- The Planner I receives general supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of college coursework with an emphasis in Geology, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License.
- Able to use word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
- Ability to report to work on time, maintain a good attendance record, and work all designated work schedules.

- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions are in an office environment. Performs occasional field activities. May also operate a company vehicle.
